Chiricahua Mountains, 2008
Our annual pilgrimage across the Chiricahuas this year
revealed a lot of flowing water in the creeks,
and recent storm damage along the roads. There were very few people...for
a change!
Several of the lower campgrounds were closed (storm damage?)so perhaps that is
what kept out the droves.
We practically had the Barfoot area to ourselves.
The deer we saw were actually skittish...odd for this area!
