Pinaleno Mountains, 2008
It has been several years since I was up on Mt. Graham...That's
too long!
It was beautiful up there!
I was a bit intimidated driving that lofty winding road in the rain, but it was
all good.
I was heartened to see that there were several dirt roads branching off the
main, where a person could go, then park and hike.
Looking over the edge to the Southwest from nearby Riggs Flat lake.
Another interesting feature to the mountain was all the boulder piles....
Riggs Flat Lake....The campground host was very hospitable and talkative. I
asked him if there were any rattlesnakes nearby...He said yes, and
he told me about some guy who was recently bitten by one that he was messing
with.
Serves him right!
