Mt. Graham/Cluff Pond
May 3rd, 2004 we went to Ash Creek and Cluff Pond, which lie at the foot of Mt. Graham, just outside the town of Pima Arizona. Our first stop was Ash Creek, and that was just wonderful! It is always a treat to see a desert wash flowing with fresh water!
Cluff Pond was a bit windy, but we walked out to a solitary point and spent the afternoon fishing. (We each caught a fish.)
Driving back from Tucson on the 2nd of July, 2004, we watched this plume of smoke the whole way...Mt. Graham is on fire here on the East side, and has also been burning on the West side for a week or so.
